Kessaar Power ran a great race at Glorious Goodwood finishing 6th of 18 in the 6-furlong British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes.
In what looked like an extremely competitive maiden, likely to produce a number of good quality winners, we were very pleased with the Stan Moore trained 2-year-old. He has strengthened and improved throughout the season and is heading in the right direction. He was slightly inconvenienced by being drawn low, having to give up ground to make his way towards the stands side. However, John Egan got him in a prominent position, and he only weakened late on.
It was a brilliant experience for our syndicate members to have a runner at one of the UK’s premier flat meetings, and for him to run with such credit was a huge bonus.
The target for him remains the £100,000 Tattersalls Somerville Auction Stakes at Newmarket, and we look forward to what the rest of the season holds.
