Knockhill made a brilliant debut at Sandown yesterday to take the Skybet Sunday Series Newcomers Maiden.
This provided Orbital Racing with our first winner as a syndicate and was a brilliant day for all involved. We were also delighted to provide Orbital Racing ambassador, Harry Redknapp with a winner, courtesy of a two year old that looks extremely exciting.
Knockhill, by Decorated Knight, purchased from the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up sale was well behaved throughout the preliminaries and was settled towards the rear by John Egan who gave him a brilliant ride. He travelled well before being pulled out for his effort, staying on to lead close home. He was still green at times and looks like he has stacks of improvement in him, after beating some very well regarded sorts.
Trained by Kevin Philippart De Foy, Knockhill has been pleasing us at home and we will now sit down and make a plan for this promising Colt who looks like he will get better as he matures with age.
