Wonder Elzaam has raced for the majority of his career in Ireland winning four times and being placed in a subsequent ten. Besides his four wins, highlights include a fourth in the Group 3 Gladness Stakes and a fourth in a Cork Listed
Since joining Stan Moore in the UK he has won at Wolverhampton, enjoyed a successful stint in Bahrain for the Turf Series and has recently been a model of consistency, placed in some very competitive Handicaps, finally being rewarded by landing the Class 2 Chelmsford City Cup, a very valuable race.
Wonder Elzaam ran five times in Bahrain, running very respectably on each occasion. He finished Fifth and Sixth in two of the £50k Turf Series races which proved ultra competitive big field handicaps made up of both international and local contenders. He also finished Second in the Bahrain High Committee Cup behind the talented Mobaadel. The experience of having a runner on the international stage in Bahrain with great prize money was a brilliant opportunity for our owners and everyone was looked after extremely well.
The winter in Bahrain has left Wonder Elzaam in great shape ahead of what has proved to be a successful campaign in the UK.
He recently finished a close 2nd in a Class 3 0-90 at Chelmsford picking up some nice prize money before finishing a good 3rd in the £50,000 Betsi Handicap again picking up some very good prize money. He was then unlucky to bump into the progressive and very promising Willem Twee at Kempton but his consistency was rewarded by landing the £40,000 Class 2 Chelmsford City Cup, his biggest win to date.
