Wonder Elzaam, the first horse to run under Orbital Racing, was sold on Wednesday fetching 31,000 Guineas for his owners on top of the recent valuable prize money he has earned in what has been a successful season.
Wonder Elzaam started the season in the new Bahrain Turf Series which proved a great success and provided Orbital Racing members the chance to travel to Bahrain and experience a runner on the international stage. The Bahrain Turf Club looked after owners brilliantly providing great hospitality throughout the whole trip. Wonder Elzaam ran with credit in two of the Turf Series races finishing 5th and 6th in what were very competitive £50k Handicaps. He also finished 2nd in the High Committee Cup which was very exciting for all involved, and showed he could compete on the international stage.
On his return to the UK he has mostly been a model of consistency posting some fine efforts in very competitive handicaps. His last 4 runs include a 2nd in a Class 3 Handicap at Chelmsford, followed by finishing 3rd in the £50,000 Betsi Handicap. He then finished 2nd to the very promising Willem Twee at Kempton before gaining a more than deserved win in the £40,000 Chelmsford City Cup. Making all of the running in a very game performance in a day our owners will never forget.
His latest win topped off a brilliant season for Wonder Elzaam earning just over £35,000 in prize money and taking his owners on some brilliant days. He will be missed by all owners but we wish his connections all the best with him for the future.
As always, if you wish to hear more on future opportunities such as a horse like Wonder Elzaam who can compete at a very high level and take you on an international adventure then please feel free to get in touch.
